Once upon a time, a lost sheep was wondering aimlessly, alone and afraid. He was searching for his shepherd who he had ran away from. As the sheep was getting closer to death, it felt the hands of its' shepherd pick its' body and place it on his shoulder. The shepherd said to his sheep, "I searched high and low, and even battled with wolves to find you." The lost sheep was overjoyed to be found and safe in the loving arms of the good shepherd, who paid the ultimate price for its freedom.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes Him will not die but will have eternal life" (John 3:16).  Just like the lost sheep, we are also trying to navigate this scary and wild life, not knowing how it will end. But here's the good news - Jesus is the Good Shepherd! He is always chasing after us in our sin, and when we accept His love and grace, we are forever saved. Let us all come to the Good Shepherd and find the love and safety that we so desperately need today.
